Hi Guys!

Today the Australian ratings board declined to give everybody's favourite gore-bonanza, Mortal Kombat a rating, meaning the thing won't be allowed in the country unless it's changed. Does anyone here recall any OS X games that have been refused classification? We're wracking our brains (to no avail)

Not really, there was a car racing one many years ago that was canned, but I can recall the name.

Carmageddon! I remember getting my hands on that via nefarious means when I was younger. Looking back on the game itself it is VERY innocent compared to what is available in stores these days with an M rating - let alone banned.

As for the censorship issue itself - we should start seeing R18+ games on shelves starting from 2013, I doubt games banned in the last year such as Mortal Kombat and Syndicate will see re-releases at this time in Australia as we make up such a small market share but you never know.
