Is there anyway to get rid of the irritating 'Sign up to Macworld Newsletter', which pop ups every page I go to, and keeps now reappearing every few seconds when viewing Macworld.com.au on my iPad?

It is making the Macworld website unusable.

And is there anyway of stringing up the numbskull who thought it was good idea?? To piss off your loyal readers and drive them away?

We've all voiced concern over this for some time but nothing seems to be being done about it. I get it every time I come to the site no matter what browser I use and it is more than a little annoying.

I'm getting it in Safari now... every couple of pages.

No one could accuse the Macworld team of acting too soon on feedback from the forum!

There seems to have been a change to the website since the new year that has actually made it worse!

I complained of it here in this thread, and other said they don't see it. Im so glad, there are others getting it.

Ways back, we complained, and they said they would look into it, and they stopped with their old newsletter pop-ups, but now they have the bobbing 'Sign Up' at the top of the page, and now, when you get ⅔ of they way down the page, it pops up. You can get rid of it, when you scroll back up, but in principal, its bordering on Posted Image, I reckon. Hitting us to sign up, (when I already have on 3 different accounts) all the time, IMHO just down right wrong. I have never seen this sort of pushing on ANY other website I visit.

Agreed. I found a quick solution on the ipad, which is immediately click on 'reader' - that's stops it popping up so I can actually read the article.

Before I worked that I was quite close to 'unsubscribing' to the newsletter, which is ironic of course as the problem is the pop-up asking to subscribe!!
