I need a new printer, I am currently looking at a Fuji Xerox ColorQube 8570DN A4 Solid Ink printer, Its not cheap at $2200, but at 40 pages per minute, plus 17000 pages from one solid ink wax block, its mighty cheap to run ( i hope) anyway my question is, has anybody used any type of wax thermal printer? and was it any good ???
Info gratefully appreciated

Yep, and yep. It was five or six years ago now, a Xerox Phaser and at the time was pretty good at photo reproduction. Since then I've seen lasers that are as good or maybe better even than it was, but I have to say the machine I'm talking about had a price tag that could have been ten times what you are paying!
Just check the price of consumables, and more importantly, the cost of electricity. I seem to recall it wasn't exactly low on carbon production!
Cheers,
P
