Yes the iPad 3 is a hit ( but I still won't call it the new iPad), the Register is saying apple now have a vise like grip on the market thanks to the iPad 2 staying on the market, and then the double whammy with the iPad 3 launch.

If Apple do with the iPad what they did with the iPhone and keep the iPad 2 in it's line up but drop it another $100 next year, it's game over for everyone else, including the Kindle tablet.
