The message I got...designed for humans, it helps you fall in love, get married, have children and helps your babies fall asleep.
Such a load of nonsense.

Compare with iPhone ads, intelligent, informative, they make you want one.

Well i"m giving the S3 some serious consideration after reading about what it can do and the vast improvements in the operating system. The fabled iPhone 5 and iOS 6 will have to be something pretty incredible to make me change my mind.

I hear you, I had a bad experience with my first gallaxy phone, and then played with a HTC last night, and I was blown away with what it can do. O and so called version of Siri, actually works

I'm too invested in iOS to make the move. Not that I never would, but it would have to be pretty compelling. With the iPad my phone is more and more just a phone and back up data access.

Another thing that appeals to me about Android is that in order to develop for it you only need pay a one time $25 (US) fee rather than the $99 (US) a year fee that Apple charge.There is also the issue that with the Apple App Store software that if Apple decide to change the rules you app will suddenly be removed. eg. No way would I consider another phone. I had enought of windows on a mobile device from its very early days. I to have a lot invested in apple products, and for a reason..they all work well together, they unify my digital life like nothing before. As the saying goes, they just work!

These new windows devices may have some nice bells and whistles, may look pretty even. But Apple is solid and reliable.

In a nutshell, Apple are successful because they got rid of all the complexity and made their products and OS's simple and intuitive to use.

Everything else is all fluff and ads confusion to the user experience.

Sure things are cool on Android, the things it can do are pretty amazing.... But it just ads complexity to the overall user experience. Why do I need to continue watching a video while I browse the web on a 4.6 inch screen??

The majority of people out there want things that are simple and easy to use, and that's where Apple wins hands down.

My point is though that at the moment Apples famous "it just works" mantra just isn't the case for me.

We have 2 Apple TVs that randomly turn themselves on (there are many reports of this on the Internet and Apple seem to have chosen not to acknowledge or fix the issue), we have a 3.5 year old iMac that it rediculously unstable even after a clean OS install.

With the price that Apple charge for things I expect better than this. especially when I have a 5 year old PC in the garage that is still running as good as the day it was made.

well well well, Samsung or Apple. I am still waiting to see what the Iphone would be like. I have seen the launch of the new Samsung on the Internet happening in Europe. I have not read the specs yet.. But I am keen to see that it gives. I am not adversed to a Samsung. They do some very nice pieces of electronics. Maybe the new Samsung is not as bad as the others Ken?

It is true there is an ease of sync with everything on Apple. That is just great, but I must say that the price of things for Apple are really over the top given the sweat factories in China and the huge but HUGE profits. That at times plays on my mind...I am a MAc convert that is sure. But there is always a lingering thought there in my mind about its closed shop philosophy.

Brian, I am not turning to the dark side. I assure you, but there are still questions about Apple that remain somehow nebulous.
