No... I am not selling or condoning it, but I am just curious.

I walked through a local market today, and I was blown away at the amount of pirated mac software out there, years ago you walked through a market and their was tables of PC pirated software, but now it seems to be almost even.

Are macs, that popular now, that thieves spend all there time, just downloading and burning DVDs, 24/7 :jawdrop:

And why on earth, haven't these markets been searched and closed down?

So who out there, you can remain anonymous :P , has purchased pirated software, from a market...

For the record, I have none and being in business the fines are to big to contemplate if I get caught, like most other legit business.

I was amazed Brian, Adobe CS 5.5 for $20 bucks

I would to know how long after you install it before you get an email or letter from Adobe

Even when I was only using a pc I bought all legit software. Had too many friends laptops bricked from 'cheap' software. And let's face it, it's basically receiving stolen goods ;)

I do have a friend though that has bought adobe for her Mac as she is design. Not only does it work perfectly, she can even install updates! She hasn't had an email from adobe and she's been using it for a whole now.

With the amount of effort you have to go too, to install almost any adobe product, I am really surprised to can register and update it.

From memory I think she had to turn her Internet connection off to install. After install she replaced a few files on her Mac that came on the dodgy disk and hey presto, fully usable and updateable.

never have. never will.

same goes for music, movies and tv shows

and also same goes for video games, digital books and digital comics

if you want something. buy it. (unless of course it's offered legally for free).

I totally agree, but damn there is a damn big market out there for illegal software, or else these guys wouldn't be popping up in markets, or on the flip side is software, just so dammed over priced, and that's why these guys flourish ?

Lol none I don't think. It is a Mac after all and as far as I know her credit card hasn't been mysteriously maxed ;)

The guy on the market stall even gave her a money back guarantee, how good is that... An honest pirate hahahahaha (although she did wonder if the stall would be there next market day)

I think I'm living under the same rock Ken. I had no idea. Only buy licensed products.
