If anyone has a 1st gen iPod Nano, Apple are now recalling them and offering replacements due to overheating issues.

Amazing they are willing to replace a product that was released 5 to 6 years ago.

I have one of these and I'm yet to see if I'm eligible for a replacement....I wish they were repacing them with the new Nano.

Full story here.

I was about top say that, how many people out there would still have such an old model still kicking around, i think apple has edged its bets well, and they will see a very very small amount of returns.

My wife's replacement nano arrived today... an 8GB 6th-gen model. It's probably a refurb, but looks brand-spanking new. Pretty happy!

In the note in the box, Apple says: "In some cases due to limited availability of replacement stock of iPod nano (1st generation) Apple may have replaced your iPod with a more recent iPod model of equivalent or better specification."

Hell, that's OK by me. Thanks, Apple.

Cheers

Dead right, Ken. It's the kind of thing that keeps customers coming back for more ... and attracts new ones.

Rach was so happy with her new iPod last night.

Cheers
