Apple put out a press release an hour or so ago (I was watching Top Gear on my iPad and didn't notice...)
Details are here.
Who's hoping to buy outright?
UPDATE: And Telstra is first to announce pricing.
UPDATE 2: Optus wasn't far behind.

About time these were released....yay....
I'm going to go on a plan, and although Telstra looks affordable now, and I would rather go with them, my Optus Plan doesn't run out until the 16th of August and I can't wait....Optus allows you to upgrade within 3 months at the end of your contract.....so I will go with Optus again.....their plans also offer more value...but I think their network isn't that great......but hey....I just can't wait.
I'm just nervous I'm not going to get one on launch day.....i hope I do.....

I'm going to buy outright, I'm currently on Telstra's old (now unavailable) $65 business plan. It's brilliant! I can make all the calls I want for $65 except to non Telstra mobiles and international.
The new capped plans are nowhere near as good and would end up costing me a lot more that a $1000 to buy the phone.

Looking at the Optus Plans...what is the point of the $49 plan? You may as well go for the $59 plan, particularly if you are going to get the 16GB phone...it works out roughly the same price....

I just got an email from Telstra and the $65 business plan is still intact and if you sign for that you get the 16GB iPhone 4 free or the 32GB for $199.

I guess if you buy a 3GS it would make a difference. We're all very iP4 focused at the mo
