Im normally very positive with my posts here buy I'm really am getting fed up with Zino. My paper copy get delivered yesterday. It gets delivered to my parents place but didn't get time to pick it up so thought if download the digital copy on my iPad. I didn't get the email till this morning telling me my new AMW issue was ready for download. So I opened my iPad AMW reader and it tells me no new issues. So I go back to the email that says click here if using iPad or iPhone and the link takes me to a page that requires flash! Zino is rubbish! Can't wait for AMW to go to newsstand. I certainly won't be subscribing to any more digital mags unless it's through newsstand.

Just great.... I just resubscribed to the digital version only.

My story:

I resubscribed 2 months ago to the digital version. Then I got the October Issue in the mail, when i was expecting the Zinio version. But the weird thing was that it didn't come in the plastic like it usually does, it came in an envelope which had been hand written and addressed to me.

So I rang up niche a few weeks ago asking when my digital subscription was going to kick in, and the subscription department told me that i was subscribed to get printed copies until next year. I said but i resubscribed online on the Niche site for the digital version, not the printed one.

She then told me that she will change that for me and from now on i will get the Zinio version.

I find it odd my original order for the digital version was placed as a printed order.

Well I don't have much faith now as I haven't received an email from Zinio yet, and I haven't received my printed copy in the mail.

The joys. I'll wait another week and if I get nothing, I'll be calling Niche again.

I can't even download the latest issue. I wish I could just get my money back and not bother with Zino. It's the crappiest service I've ever come across.

I hope I have better luck Jamie.

I don't want the printed copies anymore, they take up space and I want all my mags on my iPad.

I have the dual print/ digital subscription.

Like you Brian I was looking to reduce space at home so thought I'd try both ways to see if i liked digital mags. Great idea. Lousy service.

And TL - yep. Glad I got the print edition for Steve.

Yes I also recently didn't renew my paper copy and switched to digital only - only to have the current edition not arrive...despite an email from Zinio saying it was now available!

Seriously, how hard is it for a company to NOT send out an email to all its customers saying the digitial edition is available, until it actually is? What planet is Zinio?? Seriously!!

I fired off an email to Zinio support last Friday advising them of this, and of course I have had no response.

Aust Macworld, STOP USING THEM!

Hi all,

I know Zinio we're posting error messages via their twitter for the last few days so I'm not sure if the issues they we're having have now been fixed.

Sorry guys you're having a few issues, I'll get in touch with our account manager to find out why there have been these issues.

Thanks for your patience guys

Thanks Liana

I said some time ago that I found Zinio a big disappointment, I won't deal with them at all. I'm looking more to newsstand and hoping that will be better.

Not one positive comment for Zino on this thread.

I won't be re subscribing to any Zino publication again.

Hi Liana, this has been a major for the forum users for some time, has a history which is extremely poor, I have just renewed my subscription (printed) and would love to be able to have both.

The thing is Niche is paying for a service to Zinio, Zinio is giving Niche a really poor name, people talk, they read the forum and wont go near purchasing your magazine via the E version,

You have been on before apologizing for the crap service that someone else is giving. Niche is the customer not us, we are the end users, Dave should get the big hammer out and break some eggs,

lets see some action here, action speaks louder than words, don't tell us what your going to do, just do it and tell us what's been done to fix this increasingly poor service from Zinio.

The great Australian MacWorld magazine and the new Touch subscriptions are being affected by this

We've partnered with Zinio like hundreds of thousand worldwide publishers and along the way there has been a few issues and most things in life are not perfect. However we will continue to work closely with Zinio to iron out issues that our subscribers are having to make sure we're both offering the best service. Zinio is the world's largest digital newsstands, and are a great bunch of people and I'm sure they would prefer there were never any issues, or downtime.

Guys we're working on our digital magazine offerings, and we'll continue to stay with Zinio even after this time. It's not just a click of a button to get magazines onto Apple's newsstand but it's something we are working towards, and we hope to have both Macworld Australia and touch on Apple's newsstands, as well as continuing our partnership with Zinio.

All your feedback, comments and issues we look at and as a team work to get these resolved ASAP, so we're listening and thanks for being patient.

Thanks Liana

No Ken, not 4', 6'2" and bullet proof, Irish, yes, CEO no, sick of crap service from Zinio getting out of control, Yes.

Liana is great, we love her, and she's better looking than you Ken :)

But if Steve was dealing with them....well there would be broadsides going everywhere.....

Don't take it to heart Liana, were just pissed off at getting crap from something we love....our MacWorld subscription....
