On ya, Cookie! Apple's CEO has been named by Time Magazine as one of its 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2012. Author Walter Isaacson also made the cut, following the mammoth success of his official Steve Jobs biography. The men join other heavy-hitters like Hilary Clinton (no love for Bill this year), Ron Paul and Adele.
For every entry on Time's list, someone close to the individual pens a dedication outlining their efforts and influence. In Cook's case, it was Al Gore (former US Vice President and Apple board member). Check out what he had to say here.
I think it's a well-deserved accolade for Cook - can you imagine how daunting a prospect it would be to follow an act like Steve Jobs with the whole world watching? And despite his power and earnings, he seems to be a humble worker with a good ethic and determination.
I'll admit - I'm slightly disturbed that Rihanna also made the list this year - but that's pop culture, right? It's all in the mix of what's mainstream.
