I have bought a 1.6 Ghz Mac Mini. I seriously need to upgrade the RAM. Ebay looks tempting. Has anybody had any positive or negative RAM experiences with Ebay???.

Can eBay give you four day delivery, lifetime warranty and a total no stress transaction as well as a great price??

If not then I would suggest you check out one of AMW's main advertisers, OWC (in USA). Quite a few of us, as pmoeser said, have purchased RAM from them and have had all the above. OK you have to pay about $30 for courier service but the RAM price is so good that the total deal is very competitive.

I find the easiest and fastest way to source RAM is to take it out of my parents' computer... biggrin.gif

If I ever hop on my computer, notice a slower speed than usual, check in about this mac, and see I have less RAM,

you're gonna be the prime suspect

As I said in my other post, I am thinking of buying from Super Billing ($24 for 1 GB SO-DIMM PC5300 ram). There is also a good deal from Stone Bridge Computers.

That seems like a good deal. Always a good idea to buy local so the item can easily be returned if something is wrong.
Although many online stores (such as Streetwise) have a return policy anyway.

I spend about a grand a month at street wise, (on laser printer cartridges) and they are brilliant if you have any dramas, just pick up the phone and they will back you 110%, never a problem..

I just wonder why they dont advertise here... To the owner of streetwise... pull your finger out and advertise here biggrin.gif

Talking about Streetwise, I have used them regularly BUT I would not buy RAM from them as their prices are just not competitive on memory. Other products and services are great.

I've never bought anything from Streetwise before. If you think Streetwise is bad on memory gazza, you should see the Apple store!

Not THAT'S poor value! biggrin.gif
