Apple launched some new ads during the opening ceremony.

Thoughts?
Me, don't like them at all, think they are pretty bad.

Nope, not Siri, and not good
If I was a genius in an apple store I would hate them, they are all based around service by a genius, but not in store, so it just makes them look like nerds who wear their blue shirts everywhere

They're very corny but made me laugh. I don't think they take themselves too seriously.

Not as good as the "I'm a mac - I'm a PC" ads, not they were good.

I just watched them and rather enjoyed them.
Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it most never use it.

OK, watched them again to see if I was missing something. Still don't like them.
As little stories they are cute enough, and the Genius actor is pretty good, but from an advertising perspective the message in them is all wrong. I was trying to put my finger on it, thinking it was making the users out to look like idiots that was grating on me, but I saw it better explained in a comment elsewhere - if Macs are so easy to use, why would you run ads showing you need a Genius at your beck and call to use iMovie or iPhoto?
How easy will it be for competitors to come out and poke fun at them in that way - buy our stuff, its easier to use than apple, you don't need a genius.
