Hi, for about two weeks now I have not been able to open many PDF files on my iMac, iPhone or iPad... Yet the same file will open on my work PC!
It come sup with this message
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
So I did that on my iPad, downloaded the Adobe Reader .... I received the same message?
I get the same message in quicklook on the iMac.
This is very frustrating.
It is not just the one file, but has been most.
Any ideas!

Geoff Go /Library/Internet Plug-Ins , and drag the PDF plug in, to the trash, then restart your Mac, and see if the problem is still there.

Did you always Acrobat? Have you ever used Preview instead?
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.

I have always used preview, only tried Adobe Reader to see if Adobe had broken something with Apple stuff. But it was the same. I will try trashing the pluggin, but that won't help on the iPad r iPhone?

What happens when you try and open the PDFs with Preview?

It's the same message. However it was fine on a bunch of other PDF's this evening... So it seems to be only certain PDF's? I need to do some work to see if I can track down if there is any rhythm to where these files are coming from?

I can't see why Preview would throw up a message about updating Acrobat.
Maybe the troublesome PDFs were created with a new product?
