Hi
I had an iPhone 3G & in September changed plans & got a Samsung Galaxy S. I kept the same sim & just put it in the Samsung. After 2.5mths I am over the Samsung & have ordered a white 32GB iPhone 4S. So as the topic states will it just be a simple case of slipping the sim into the new phone? Or are the sims a different size?
Thanks
Beth

The 4s uses a micro sim, so you will need to order a replacement sim card to suit the 4s

Word of advise, make sure you have your contacts backed up to your sim card, and then ask your phone provider to copy them over to the new iPhone sim card, and that way you won't lose them, or have to re enter them all manually.

I have been using my 3G as an iPod. I have just gone through & made sure all my contacts are current & up to date on the 3G then I synced it to iTunes. Will this then sync to the 4S?

Yep just as long as you are using the same account ad login name, just make sure you set it up as a new phone, and then go back and select sync contacts, via iTunes next time you plug it in.

The other alternative is to use your current SIM but get your Telco to cut it down to size.
No need to worry about your data then (although I do recommend you back everything up anyway just in case).

Phone is at TNT depot, will pick it up before work tomorrow. I am with Virgin. I will go & see Network Communications after work.
I was aiming to keep it for Christmas & put it under the tree but if I have to get a sim I guess that won't be happening.

You can get a SIM, and then just activate it on Xmas day if you want too

LOL yes, apparently if I get it from a store I have to pay. Shall keep your idea in mind though. I bet the SIM will come addressed to husband who works away 2 out of 3wks & they won't let me sign for it.

You have to pay if you pick it up at the store ? Are they pulling your chain ... I have never paid for a blank sim card in my life.

we'll send to you the replacement micro SIM card (at no cost) in 4-8 business days. Alternatively, you can buy it from any of our stores:

Above is a cut from today's e-mail.

That's ridiculous, what's the difference in cost between picking one up in store and them posting you one ? .55 cents.
