Generally reserved for the Expo announcement no-one saw coming, this is the last segment of the keynote and probably the most anticipated.

We'll leave this one open -- what do you think the "one more" announcement will be?

That's coming in February anyway -- already announced.

I'd like to see the iPhone Shuffle -- it just has one big button which, when pressed, calls a randomly-selected person from your address book. Could be great.

Newton 2008? wink.gif

Seriously though - the tablet Mac has been so widely rumoured but I'm still not convinced that'll be it. I'm hoping for the free .Mac option.

With the release of the modbook I would think that Apple wouldn't compete with it, they would purchase the company & profit.

My hope is that the "something's in the air" banners refer to a new Apple commitment to mobile broadband -- HSPA in the iPhone as well as in the entire range of MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

This'd be a killer feature for Aussies, since our mobile broadband is soooo cheap now, given the pricewar that has been going on between the 3G telcos.

As I said in my blog post about it, I really hope Apple doesn't try to lock it to certain carriers though. That happens all too often with the PC notebook makers, unfortunately. They see it as a new revenue opportunity to earn a share of the broadband subscription revenue paid to the telco :-(

MacRumors seems to think it's about a MacBook Air;

- A slim notebook, but not a "sub notebook"
- 13.3" screen
- Not a "Pro" machine
- External Optical Drive

Yes, especially considering in the Adium usage logs pre-the pictures of the banners, there is one computer listed as MacBookAir. I'd place my money on it.

Hopefully "There is something in Air" encompasses a whole lot of Apple products at MacWorld and not just the MacBook Air. So iTunes Movie Rentals (Maybe in Aussie), talking about how well the iPhone is doing, AppleTV 2.0, and more wireless stuff.

It's pretty much confirmed now - the usage was logged on the 9th. An Apple Engineer must have used their new MB Air online.

I can't wait.
