Jeez... You guys get up early. I think alongside Lion, we might see new MacBook Airs and maybe even MacBook Pros. Not sure about iMacs though.

What's everyone else think?

And will it be a major OS upgrade? Are we going to see all kinds of bells and whistles?

I check all the Apple news at about 7.30am while my 3 year old son eats his breakfast. I usually get him his breakfast and then I hide in the kitchen for a few mins on my iPhone checking the RSS feeds of all the news.....I hide so my son doesn't see me as he always wants to play with my iPhone....I can't blame him though....

I am with you TL, just waiting for the new MBP to come out, I also have a new iMac sitting on my desk. One / two Questions i do have is what's the process for getting the upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7, is the additional cost going to be cost prohibitive for what you get with the new os?

Snow Leopard only cost about $30 for an upgrade from the previous version, but that was a special case as it was mostly under the hood changes and the UI is very similar. From memory you're looking in the $150 range, which is generally better than Windows! It really will depend on what it offers, but it should be substantial this time.

I spotted a rumor today, that apple may also be adding in app purchases for Mac osx just like the iTunes store, but a mac version.

An App Store for Mac makes a lot of sense... Especially for Apple to earn some more cash off the top! But it would never work if the Mac was as closed as iOS.

I think a curated store that developers can submit apps to as an option for greater exposure and ease of installation would be a great addition to OS X.

So what's the procedure Brian? Alarm clock or up all night on the turps????

Do i get this right, we can see the transcript / streaming live from Bloomberg.com, or did i miss something in the past few days, I've been away on business and only had the iphone with me so the forum has basically, just been a quick look between meetings.......

To tell you the truth all the hype has my blood pressure up.....Ha!

AMW will have a live blog. The last keynote I was up for (by chance, not choice) I flipped between sites because the internet just about crashed!

Is the keynote being streamed again?

Anyway, I'll find out about it when I wake up at a reasonable hour :432405569_ed9ab95ef1:

I don't know if it's being streamed by Bloomberg.com but all these key Apple people here on the AMW forums must be able to tell us, you've been around for a while do you know what the go is? I don't think I will get up but if I am awake at that hour I am going to be waking my new imac up too! What about Brian, he's keen.......

It's not going to be streamed live unfortunately. I found this out on the following site: TiPb

I love Apple announcements, but I'm not going to stay up to watch a live blog, I did that with the iPhone 4 announcement and it was just frustrating reading the blog on screen. If it was streamed live, I would be up for it... :P

I wonder why they don't stream it live?? They did it for the iPod keynote.....it's just not fair....
