Being the proud new owner of a MBA, i am learning some new tips & tricks to keep the files shared whilst on the run. Enter iWork, using this for numbers, & pages documents so far, as its only been two days on the new machine.
Is there anyone else working this way????

The sharing is between i devices and the Mac's, i have little understanding, but did the migration from the iMac to MBA for the app's (did this WiFi, no firewire or thunderbolt available) as the flash storage is not all that big one has to be careful of what goes on, I also used air drop for the working files, now there is a great idea.

What about using Dropbox as well. It's an awesome way to have access to all your files no matter what computer you are using.

Doesn't iCloud do this? I only have Pages but all my docs are synced with MacBook, iPad and iPhone.

Once you've set up iCloud on your iDevice, it automatically exports to iCloud from iWork apps. To import/export between iCloud and iWork on the Mac you have use a browser and go to iCloud. (Anything you put into iCloud on the Web will sync with your iDevice next time you open the relevant iWork app on it.) It's one of the disappointments, that it's not automatic - they are actually different file formats so a conversion has to take place. My guess/hope is the next iteration of iWork for Mac will fix this.

Hi Alex, yeah this is what i am learning, it's a manual job to send the info up to the cloud, I just started to play with some test files in pages last night sending them to iPad and the iMac from the MBA, changing the document and then sending it back to the cloud again.
The whole process is painful, Brian suggested DropBox and i still have iDisk,

Did the download and install on the theree machines last night (dropbox) and was playing with iDisk tonight, its still a pretty good system but I suppose i will just have to learn one that will work seamlessly, most importantly easily.

Any ideas or help is appreciated, trying three different systems to sync documents between devices has confused me now....still once i have one that works (would like to continue to use iWork) it will become second nature....

Mick
