Safari Bookmarks Keep Moving

Okay, this is a tricky one that I just cannot seem to resolve.

I have all my Safari bookmarks organised in the Bookmark Bar on my MBP by categories, but for some reason they have all moved around today.

I can reset them by drag and drop or using the Bookmarks lists, but as soon as I click somewhere else, open a new tab or click in the URL bar they all move again.

The strange thing is there is no pattern to where they move either - they can go to different locations...

Anyone got any clues?

Have you changed them around on your iPhone or iPad ? Which is causing iCloud to rearrange them on your mac to match your iOS devise.

Nope, bookmarks aren't synced on iCloud. I thought that as well at first thinking maybe i had turned sync on, but it isn't.

The randomness of where they move to is also odd...
