This is cool, I just heard it today.
If you press the option + a dedicated function key (e.g. brightness, mission control), OS X will take you straight to the corresponding system preference settings. So opt + F3 (mission control on my old keyboard) takes you to Mission Control in System Preferences.

That is neat. Could not get it to work at first because I have my function keys set as function keys so that I have to press Fn + say F3 to get the mission controls settings up. Newbie here but got there in the end.
