I have an M-Audio midi/USB keyboard and I would like to able to plug it in to the iMAc and run some software so I could play piano music and practice. Maybe sometimes I would want to record but I could do that in Garage Band.

Does any software like this exist?

You can play your keyboard in GarageBand.
Create a software track and choose your sound from GarageBand's Instruments.
