Sounds like a desperate attempt, by Adobe to get a share of the iPhone market.

If you can't beat em, join em, I guess. I have no idea what's involved in coding for Flash or HTML 5, but makes sense to me if there's a bunch of people with flash tools wanting/needing to transition.

To be honest, I wish Flash would go away, but the truth of the matter is that it isn't right now.... I admit that it doesn't really hinder most web browser viewing on iOS, but what annoys me is that on the off chance there is something in Flash that I want to view...I can't, and that's just not right in my books....it's bloody annoying.

If Apple would just allow it onto their platform that would stop Adobe from having to produce such a tool...but hey...it's better than nothing....it does seem like a a scrambling attempt by Adobe to get a share of the iOS market....... so this probably does go to show how influential Apple are, and they are slowly winning the battle against Flash, when even the company who develops the technology and stands by it, is making an exception to try and give people options to allow Flash to be viewed on iOS. If they truly believed in their product and stood by it, they wouldn't even attempt to bring out such a tool.

The Skyfire browser has just been updated to version 3.0, and it is a huge improvement from the previous version...... it plays Flash video now from all the Australian newspaper websites which is really cool...previously only some sites were supported, but the update has fixed that issue....... although I did contact the Sydney Morning Herald and they told me they are working on converting all their video to HTML 5 so they can be played on iOS..... so there you go.....Apple is slowly winning.

It will be interesting to see how many Flash developers use this new tool to convert vector Flash graphics into HTML 5... I think we will be seeing a lot more banner ads now, when previously we didn't....oh joy.

Still I end off with that I think Apple should allow freedom of choice and let iOS users install Flash, even if it's rubbish and will affect performance of our devices. It's an individuals choice.

Hey Brian you need to contact adobe and get them to produce a product to apple that works. The problem is Brian if iPhones start crashing because of flash or crappy apps people think it's because of apple. Some people think all the apps and stuff are made by apple and they get the wrong impression if apple. So to eliminate it apple simply doesn't allow products/ apps that make apple products look bad.

Alright I get your point...so what you're saying is that the majority of people that use Apple's technology or any technology for that matter are a bunch of dodos, except of course to everyone on these forums who are tech savvy and understand.....:-)

I get what you're saying....

Honestly, I have never noticed the lack of Flash on an iOS device.
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.
