Well i said it a few weeks ago, and it looks like i was on the money, the next iPhone will indeed have a 4 inch screen, this will be a bit smaller than the latest samsung galaxy S3 with a 4.8 inch screen, but at least its a change from the normal form factor we have gotten used to at 3.5 inches over the last 5 years.

So is anybody exited about a larger iPhone ? or is this a step in the wrong direction ?
Come on 20K

I'm excited no matter what..yes I'm a tragic........ But I just hope they can make the next iPhone, 4 inches, but keep it the same size as the current 4S. Now that is revolutionary.

I really don't want to see the iPhone turn into a chunky brick like crappy Android phones. After all, it's a phone, not a tablet.

Don't really care. But since I have a phone wallet (not a case, a wallet with a large compartment for a phone) I do care if it doesn't fit what currently holds my iPhone snuggly.

it's getting exciting again, wwdc just around the corner, new software, possibly new iMacs and MacBooks, then late this year the new iPhone, it will be interesting what they do with the iPods this year...

I love it when another week is over, it means it's another week closer to WWDC!

Apple more or less have to give the iPhone a bigger screen to keep up with the Android hardware, it will have to be a larger form factor in order to keep the same aspect ratio (as otherwise developing for the 2 would be a real pain). I predict a 4.2" or 4.6" screen which will enable a much thinner iPhone something akin to the S3 but much nice looking and better made.

iMacs will lose the optical drive and gain SSD as a standard, with an option for a second drive which will be a normal 3.5" HDD (or for those with deep pockets another SSD)

iPods - maybe we'll see something new and unique here but I think it will be much the same options as there are now but with more memory as memory chip densities get higher.

I'm going to disagree with you somewhat. Basically you're right about the iPhone although transitioning to a new aspect ratio is not beyond the bounds of possibility if Apple believe it will make a better user experience than the current 4/3 aspect.

No way will SSD be standard on an iMac. They're just too expensive for the large capacity typically found in a desktop. It may have an option for an SSD instead of an optical drive, but not default replacement for HDD.

iPod touch is due for a major update, but could just be processor speed. Who knows what will happen with the rest of the iPod line?

Think a 120GB SSD for OS and core apps. They're most likely around $100 US now (wholesale in bulk) plus a 1 or 2 TB HDD for other data. I don't see this as outside the realms of possibility.

You may be right about the aspect ratio in the iPhone. As long as they choose another standard ration eg. 16x9 it might work but does mean a lot of extra work for devs to develop for the two.

That would sound right.
