Armado — the 3D platform action game from Tricky Software, originally developed for Mac OS X — is now available for the iPhone. Armado costs $5.99.

Armado is the story of an armadillo on a mission to save his homeland from an invading army of giant insects. He travels through woodlands, snowy peaks and fiery volcanic mountains on his way, rolling, jumping and crashing around, through and past obstacles and enemies.

Armado for iPhone and iPod touch uses accelerometer and touch controls, and features an online leaderboard that lets you share your high score with other players.

Armado requires an iPhone or iPod touch running iPhone 2.1 software or later.
