How well do you really know your friends and family? A new iPhone and iPod touch app, Which? will give you a greater insight into the minds of your fellow players by tasking users to correctly select which answer to an obscure question another player chose.
Based on a board game of the same name, the two-12 player app begins with one player (the decider), who chooses one of two available answers to a question, and the other users have to guess which one was chosen and provide an explanation as to why they think it applies.
Points are awarded for correct guesses, but the aim of the game is not to win – it is to learn about those around you and yourself. Why did you choose a certain answer when everyone else picked you as the other? Do you see yourself differently than others do?
The decider receives points by choosing whether the majority of the users will correctly guess their own answer, confining them to choose the answer that best suits them.
The questions move in order from player to player and ends when a player reaches 10 points.
Developed by former school teacher, Stuart McArthur, the app has a simple design, helpful instructions and 1,240 questions – so you won’t have to worry about repeated questions.
One small gripe I do have, however, is the game is restricted to the one device; users are not able to use multiple devices to play the game. This means the iPhone or iPod touch has to move around the room with each question.
