Invoice2go for Apple Watch
Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Mac
Age Rating: 4+
It’s fair to say that the Apple Watch will be Apple’s most significant product launch of the last few years. Like the iPhone and iPad, it’s Apple’s take on an existing product category that has, thus far, languished. And Aussie app Invoice2go is an example of the sort of productivity app we can expect to see on this new platform.
Invoice2go is a web-based service that allows you to create and view invoices from your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Although it’s not the first small business app that lets you do this, it’s the first one we know of that has already announced its ability to leverage the Apple Watch.
For many people, the typical work cycle involves arriving at a client site, performing some services and then sending an invoice. Invoice2go’s Apple Watch app lets you do all that from your wrist.
Invoice2go uses geo-fencing when you check in to a site and when you leave in real time. This data is sent to the cloud service via your iPhone, so records are more precise and updated in real time. That data can be used to produce an invoice that can be sent by a few taps on the Apple Watch display.
Although there will be huge number of Apple Watch apps that will focus on displaying information, Ivoice2go looks like it will buck that trend and deliver useful functionality for workers on the go.
