It’s one of the most annoying things about air travel – flight delays. Although many airlines have their own apps for checking flight status, if you are planning a trip with multiple airlines, it can be a pain to have so many different web apps to check.
Arrivals and Departures lets you search for all flights in and out of an airport. You can then sort the list by origin or destination, airline, time or status. Airports can be found either by using the three-character code or the city the airport is in.
The flight information provided is comprehensive with information about how long a delay is likely to be and amended arrival or departure times. It even tells you which terminals and gates flights are leaving and arriving through.
Flights that are in progress can be tracked on the map as a figure of an aeroplane is superimposed over a line indicating the flight path.
As well as flight information, Arrivals and Departures provides local information about the cities flights enter and leave. Flight routes are marked on a map. Click on a city and you see local weather information, local hotels and coffee shops – essentials for travellers. The map data comes from Google.
